The look of confusion on your face when I talk about IFS is priceless.

Confusion, uncertainty, a hint of
I think you’re fucking crazy!

Yet, I continue telling you

About my parts
About how they speak to me.

You ask, So who am I speaking to now?
I simply smile. You are talking to me, Nicole.

You think my parts are active all the time.
They sometimes comment on things that happen in my daily life.
You get a kick out of my stories or the things my parts have said.

Yet,

It’s just me speaking to you.

I’m just trying to normalize this so you may have the courage to explore your own mind.

When I talk about my parts I am basically saying, Hey, I’m not crazy or even off my rocker.

Normalizing it will help you to let down your carefully constructed walls.

Maybe you will choose to ask yourself some questions.

Deciding to ask questions is the first step in the journey of healing.
