Getting Accustomed

As we drive through this town, we are looking to see what kind of people it holds. We see them working in their yards, people standing around chatting with friends, and one guy is under his truck changing his oil.

They all seem like good people. So we continue on looking at places that are for sale. Kids are riding bikes and playing basketball as we drive by the park.

We drive around getting accustomed to the streets. We learn where the groceries stores are. We stop and get a bite to eat. The waitress is nice, so lots of questions are asked about the town.

“How long have you lived here?”
“Is it a nice place?”
“Are the schools good?”
“What are the people like?”
“What are some things to do around here?”

We take in all the answers and listen as strangers give their pieces. It seems like a town on the verge of expanding, a great place to leave the city for.

So we will come back next week and do it all again. Try a different route and a different restaurant to make sure this is the town that will help to shape our future.
