Won’t Quit

How will there ever be closure if you insist on bringing it up? How do we move forward if it’s always in the back of your mind? How many times do I have to apologize? 

The first few digs I let slide. I understand you’re mad and hurting. Yet, more and more you continue to throw shade. Even if it’s just a hint, a tone, or the way you make a comment, I can read between the lines, and it’s not hard to figure out that this isn’t going away anytime soon. 

So why are we trying? Are you even trying if you need to inform everyone of my mistake? How long do you expect me to put up with this? How long will I put up with this? 

At some point we either have to move on and accept this is our new way of life, or we need to call this what it is. A mistake that just keeps on living.
