We Witness

I have often heard that seeing is believing but is it really? Because even if you see something you can still choose not to believe it and not bear witness to the actions you have observed. Look around at the world we live in. This is where we witness abuse in all forms, especially in our personal lives but we believe that we are the cause of such suffering. When in fact it is the abuser who is in the wrong. We tell ourselves that those who abuse us are really loving people and that we must deserve the abuse, because why else would they do these horrible things to us. So how do we wake up to what is right in front of us and start believing what we see?
